A Crown of Ice and Ink by Jean Littleton threw me into a world I didn’t mind getting lost in. Littleton offered immediately likeable characters and readily apparent stakes through compelling imagery and sharp banter. We love a forbidden, he-falls-first-and-hard romance with tension & yearning. I came for the romantic fantasy tropes and cool magic system, but stayed for the political intrigue. Finished this book in one sitting and cannot wait for the second one. Also… A POV Bonus?!? As a treat? Delicious.
